About

Born on February 12, 1976, in Tehran, Iran and growing up in Sweden, Shahryar Rumi started playing the piano at the age of 11 and has become a Persian pop artist.
Shahryar’s love for the arts does not stop with music. His interest in architectural monuments resulted in him earning a degree in architectural design and business from a highly respected university in Miami, Florida — yet he never took his eyes off of his inner passion for music.
In 2002, while working in his professional field of architectural designs in Southern California, Shahryar signed a contract with Hassan Shamaizadeh, one of the most respected songwriters and producers of Persian pop music.
FIRST ALBUM
In 2004, Shahryar’s debut album, Aghaze Shirin (The Sweet Beginning) was released. Shahryar found his place in the Persian music industry shortly after this first album thanks to his classy music and silky-strong voice. He started working on his second album immediately.
SECOND ALBUM
In 2005, Shahryar released his second album by the name of Parseh with the collaboration of the best lyricists, songwriters, and arrangers.
THIRD ALBUM
In 2006, Shahryar released his third album by the name of Naji (Savior).
FOURTH ALBUM
In 2008, Shahryar’s fourth album, Sarab (Mirage) was released.
FIFTH ALBUM
In 2011, Shahryar’s fifth album Mojezeh (Miracle) was released. It is a breakthrough album in the Persian pop music industry since the 1979 Iranian revolution.
SIXTH ALBUM
In 2013, Shahryar’s sixth album Dolate Eshgh (The State of Love) was released.
SEVENTH ALBUM
In 2018, Shahryar’s seventh album Faghat Nafas (Only Breath) was released. This work is based on the collection of Rumi’s poems from Ghazaliat Shams, which enhances the listener’s knowledge of the ideology of Rumi and the nation of love.
EIGHT ALBUM
In the summer of 2019, Shahryar’s eighth album Zemzemehee Dar Bahar (A Whisper in the Spring) was released
In the spring of 2022, Shahriar's last album called you are the light was released
